Dr. Lisa Vanderperre-Hirsch
1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Founded in 1790, my hometown, and our Nation’s Capital’ Washington, District of Columbia (D.C.) is a unique blending of beauty, history, government, and diversity. Washington D.C. is the residence of our Nation’s President, along with more than 170 nationalities and ethnic groups, making it a true representation of America; a factual melting pot where anyone can make their dreams come true. I invite you to experience my hometown – Washington, D.C.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
First is my tiara and sash as Mrs. Washington, D.C., International. I touch my sash every morning for luck because it empowers me to remember to always go after my dreams. Second is my DVD collection of 2,000 movies, because as a big sci-fi/horror nerd, “Do. Or do not. There is no try,” and I will always “Do.”
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
I think Julia Child’s once penned it best by saying, “Learn how to cook—try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless and above all have fun." I try and bring that joy to all aspects of my life and especially my baking. Chocolate, sugar and love is the recipe to true happiness.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
Life is too short, and must be lived like each day is your last. Extra time should be made daily to spend with your loved ones doing the things that make you smile, like hiking in the woods, painting, ballet, writing and ghost hunting.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
I work for the government, enough said.
